What's on this page
Today's live scores
Live PKL scores, refreshed against the league's official data feed. The match centre updates after every raid — the score, the raid outcome, the bonus-point flag, the super-raid indicator — without needing a page refresh.
Raider and defender form charts
The kabaddi desk's match centre is built around two charts that the league's broadcast rarely shows. The raid-success chart plots each raider's successful raids per match across the season, with a moving average that smooths out a single off night. The tackle-success chart does the same for defenders.
| Metric | What it measures |
|---|---|
| Raid success rate | Successful raids / total raids, last 5 matches and season |
| Super-raid frequency | Super raids per match, normalised for opposition |
| Bonus raid rate | Percentage of raids where the raider crosses the bonus line |
| Tackle success rate | Successful tackles / attempted tackles |
| Super tackle frequency | Super tackles per match |
| Do-or-die raid success | Conversion rate in the last raid of a do-or-die raid sequence |
Why "raid success rate" needs context
A raw raid-success rate overstates defenders and understates raiders. The desk's match centre normalises for opposition strength — a 70% raid success rate against a top-three defence is more impressive than an 80% rate against a bottom-three one. The normalisation is published on every match page.
Season format and coverage
Pro Kabaddi League runs a long season — 12 franchises, more than 130 matches, a playoff bracket that compresses the second half of the schedule. The kabaddi desk plans around that cadence. Pre-match previews go up the evening before; post-match notes are published within two hours of the final whistle; the weekly tactical column lands every Sunday morning.
What the desk does not cover
The kabaddi desk focuses on Pro Kabaddi League. State-level tournaments and the international kabaddi calendar are not part of the regular coverage schedule; when the Indian team plays an international event, we publish a separate explainer and link it from this page.

Kabaddi desk FAQ
Does the match centre track empty raids?
Yes. Every raid is logged with outcome (touch point, bonus, tackle, empty, self-out), and the chart on the match page breaks out raid types over time. The "empty raid" count is highlighted in the post-match summary if a team posts a worrying number.
Does the kabaddi desk cover women's PKL?
Women's Kabaddi League is part of the desk's coverage scope. Match previews and post-match notes appear on the editorial hub; the match centre is shared with the men's PKL.
Where do the form charts get their data?
From the Pro Kabaddi League's official event feed. The desk does not scrape broadcaster feeds or use video-derived stats.
